So, you’ve booked your amazing, Sexy YOU boudoir session and you’re asking: What next? Well, that’s easy!
We start with your pre-session consultation. Fairly new to YOU, we’ve started hosting these sessions (either in-studio or via Facetime/telephone) for a variety of reasons. We go over contracts and forms (the boring part), we go over backdrops, outfits, prints and albums (the more fun part) and we want to take the opportunity to get to know you and for you to get to know us (the most important part).
That way, later, when you come into your session you’re not coming in with butterflies in your stomach, and you still have to meet us and see our studio for the first time. A one-on-one chat does wonders to calm your nerves and we’re excited to now be able to offer this as a regular feature of YOU!
As noted, we’ll also go over backdrops (see our wonderful selection of backdrops for our Sexy and Simply YOU sessions by clicking here as well as what to wear for your shoot. As noted in the vlog, we will delve deeper into wardrobe tips and tricks very soon. Trust me, it deserves its own vlog and we want to do justice to that very important.
Next comes your actual session. To be safe, I’d book a, minimum, 2-4 hour block of your time, as our 2-hour sessions can run over a little depending on session specifics. At this point, you’ve hopefully met (or at least spoken with) us and your nerves are a bit calmer. Any remaining nerves will melt away as we start with some standing poses and let you get an idea of how your YOU session will go before moving on to the traditional bed poses. At this point, have fun and enjoy your exhilarating session!
Afterward, people often ask when their portraits will be available. We typically have galleries ready to view within 2 weeks, however, if you are on a time crunch, absolutely let us know and we can rearrange some steps to get these (and any products you want to order) to you as quick as possible.
Lastly, we want to assure anyone with any doubts on the matter: YOU by Abanathy Photography, LLC WILL NOT show your portraits to anyone or use your portraits in our advertising. Some boudoir photographers do…we don’t. Simple as that. We value your privacy as a client and reiterate those portraits you see on our website are paid models. There, we want you to see what we offer, not our other clients.
Hopefully this answers some questions and, absolutely reach out with any inquiries you might have!
